The Military Leadership Is Different From the Stereotype of the Military
Air force is the most collegial, i would say, of the services. The army is a much more forceful command organization. I was never forcefully given an order in my entire career of something i didn't want to do. If you're well trained and educated, you lay out the objectives and everyone knows that's what needs to be done. When you have a bunch of young somethings sometimes on tat long time ago, it's quite frightening when you give them keys to a nuclear bomber or anything like that. We've had some pretty close calls with nukes but we haven't seen any major ones so far.
