The Fall of Freet's Car
A 16-year-old told police that he and his girlfriend had seen two strange men outside of Burger Chef right before they closed the night of the murders. The next day went on, but no one had been contacted by these four employees. Then the next morning, Freet's car was found abandoned and unlocked in a park close to the police station. Police began to believe that the employees had instead been abducted and began to investigate the case from that angle.
