Heidegger's Zen Kohan: A Breakdown in Obviousness
A Zen Kohan is a breakdown in obviousness, that's the whole point of it. You have to find the freedom that exists even when you're trapped, otherwise you won't discover it as ground. And I think there's something in that that makes Heidegger's work attractive to leading edge Japanese thinkers. But yeah, it's tough going with Heidegger, but I think it pays dividends.
