The Oil Money Scam
In the 1970s and '80s, oil money was a real thing. Wealthy people in Middle Eastern countries were able to buy luxury properties with huge sums of cash. They would then ask their friends if they wanted to finance porn or other projects that could not be done where they lived. This might sound nuts today, but we have to remember people across the planet knew about it.
