In England, the pitches are exactly the opposite. Neutral voice in England is much higher. When they want to emphasize something, they drop the pitch. Whereas with us, our neutral voice is low. To the Brits, that's how we talk normally. So there's a little bit of cultural stuff that you have to pay attention to here.
