"It wasn't really on the bucket list to do a christmas movie until the script serta came across my desk, and i was like, is is really funny. And the script had a real voice and a real sense of humor," he said. "The key to how i tried to approach it was not to dumb it down to the kids, and to make sure that their stakes weres as real as any in any movie."
