How to Get Editors to Give You Feedback
Don't take feedback from editorials or acceptances as necessarily editorial feedback. Most of the time it's more about the publication than the work itself. If you are relying on editors to give you feedback and you're sending out something that you know isn't ready, you've just blown that market. I would also say don't sleep on the semi-pros. They do, sometimes they can get away with things that the upper, you know, pros can't but they open up a lot of opportunities.
