The Origins of the Naska Lines

The naska were creating large scale images of humans, animals and shapes on the landscape that any land based outsider would not be able to detect. The long straight lines are likely to have been dug into the earth with the assistance of stakes and ropes in order to preserve their straightness. Mainly, the huge images are somewhat linear, without being totally made up from straight lines only. So the wings of birds have been recreated using a series of long straight lines, but the tail of the mon is a long spiral and the body of the spider is circular. From the air, the astonishing creations of the naska can be seen in their full glory. There is nothing else quite like it
