People are trying to understand consciousness on the basis of quantum physics, but I don't really see any of those efforts as successful. Roger Penrose and Stuart Hameroff have this theory of consciousness arising in the microtubules of neurons. So there seem to be these open questions that are very, very hard to explain using science. And we can go no further. What Thomas Nagel called that? One thought too many.
