Theoden's just been on my mind because I'm reading the Silmer really and so everything Tolkien's on my mind right now. The book says what's in there's a line to about the sword. What Gandalf says to him? Yeah, he says your your fingers would remember their old strength if they felt your old sword. And sure enough, it's this like image of a shaky frail spirit that has been kind of kicked and cast down but then reclaims its vitality.
