ART OF THE CUT with Oscar nominee Jay Cassidy, ACE on editing David O. Russell's "Amsterdam"
Art of the Cut
Filming Style
There's some big close-ups pretty wide angle lens if I know my lens is well enough. They're kind of Cohen Brothers style meaning that the cameras kind of in between the two actors instead of over the shoulder of one actor pointing to the other. It's only done that way in certain scenes. The scene where it's most pronounced probably is the scene where they come to the Vose Mansion they meet Valerie after not seeing her for 12 years and then they all go into the back room.
