Women Need to Dial It Back
Davis says that even if men took up all of the mental labor and invisible labor there would still be the underlying problem of this work existing itself. She advocates for the socialization of housework where it's no longer a private thing but could be organized by the state like in cleaning houses professionally. Davis is really drawing upon this Marxist tradition to identify how capitalism will furnish us the possibilities of doing things quite efficiently so that can then be usurped and taken over for workers benefit.
