The Economic Consequences of the Pandemic

relative poverty is people living in households with income below 60% of median. Absolute low income is the number of people living in Households with Income below 60%. We can say that at the moment there are about 14% who might be considered to be in relative income poverty, but a huge proportion of children,. for example, might be considered 30% of children. It's implicated in the development of chronic diseases, diet-related problems, as well as reduced life expectancy and increased infant mortality.
