What Does War Do to a Country, to Its Society, to Its Territory?

In this book i try to sell out a dimension of the war that is generally under research, with regard to the syrian conflict in particular. War is indeed a unimportant process of social change, although a very destructive one. I have worked in syria since the mid nineties, looking at the transformations of cities and urban societies in times of economic opeing. The price paid by the population translate also into poverty. More than 85 % of the population lives under the poverty line.
