Why Do You Tap Your Finger?

The Libet experiment is not aimed at rooting out the antecedent causes of Cormac's finger tapping in general, but his finger tapping at one interval instead of all the other possibilities. A reason for acting is typically an end that would plausibly justify such an action. Aristotle opens what is likely the most historically influential discussion of ethically significant action in the Western tradition with this quote: Every action and deliverance and deliberative choice seeks some good, end quote.
