The War in Ukraine Is Not a Second World War

It would be deeply inaccurate to say that the war in Ukraine, as we've come to refer to it, is unique to our times. Europe has not seen a war of this kind truly since 1945. The two countries are not comparable in terms of economic, heft, and population. If you would subtract the Russian economy from the equation, you would see that Ukraine has one of Europe's biggest armies. And then we can move into our mathematical equation of A not equaling B plus C. That's what I will try to explain in short form in today's class for the next 40, 45 minutes or so. Then we'll see if there are questions before we draw today's class
