Magnus Carlsen accused Peter Neiman of cheating during a match online. He then withdrew from the tournament, saying he believed his opponent had cheated more and more recently than he's publicly admitted. A report by Chess.com claimed that Neiman likely cheated in over 100 online games on Chess.com far more than he'd previously admitted to. The rise of chess computer programs has transformed the game.
