The History of Halloween
It was a time of feasting families would come together and have big meals. Some people dress up in costumes to disguise themselves from these spirits. They also carried around carved turnips to distract these evil spirits. Over time, this developed into trick or treating where people would come to the front door and ask for some sort of dessert.
