A Brief History of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill

As a senior undergraduate student, well, before then I became interested in Central America and had the opportunity to go to First Coast, to Rica and then Honduras. So I decided I wanted to pursue anthropology and didn't really know what I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted to work in Central America. And that's what led me eventually to this work on Garifana in Honduras. That is the very abbreviated version of the intellectual trajectory.
