halloween can be traced back to the iron age, which i totally knew en. It's mitwe ya, the to yor crow. But it wasn't really halloween. It was a celtic festival called sawin, and they kicked off the new year. They would have bonfires, knok's favourite tes, right? I'm fortune telling. Then they would wear costumes because they wanted to fool the spirits who wanted to harm them. And then in 18th century emigrants from irish fifties - particularly millions of european emigrants - started coming over. So now we're doing that like food and beer on October 31st.
