In a world where everyone's far more neurotic, spending too much time in their heads is cerebral horse power. A recent study has shown that if you practise mindfulness within a context of being more socially and orniented towards others, it increases your generosity. But when practising mindfulness in a context individualism, or your focusis yourself, it actually decreases your generosity. It actualy makes it worse, because what's happening is you become more and more focused on self. And often with anxiety, that is where it's it's coming from, is that constant focus on yourself. As soon as you start thinking of some one else, you start giving suddenly things become a little bit better
