i did a little bit of work with that speci with psalms and violence, but because of teaching obligations and teaching opportunities here, i pretty quickly went into narrative. And i started think about what does it mean when people kind of step into the world of the laments and take on the language of the eye? What are the implications of that? So i start playing around with that question. I'm david carr's work on trama, holly resiliance especially, was a really important book for me. And then carol newsom's study of selfhood, which she's been engaging in that conversation for a while.
