The Importance of Self-Reflection

I feel like I'm really good in a crisis because I've struggled with anxiety forever. When it first came into view my sort of natural anxieties went into overdrive. There's something very freeing about that Bruce Tift brilliant psychotherapist who wrote a great book called already free. He suggests taking the trait that you like the least in yourself and asking yourself what it would feel like to know that on some level that was always going to be a part of your personality to the very end of your life. The crazy thing then is that you're actually freed up to live a life that is less constrained by that trait as you're no longer building your life around it's elimination.
