The Importance of Detail in Data Contracts
The reason why someone wants to see the detail is because they can always usually related back to a source system. If you're abstracting the data so far away from what's in the source system that no one can understand what the information is, someone needs to document that and there needs to be a quality process around that to verify what you're doing.
