The Importance of Keeping Human Eyes Alive
The next level is using real human retinas that have been generously donated by individuals after they have passed away. There is this new technology developed by Arnold Soboh in Budapest. We can keep it alive for like 14 weeks. And now we do gene therapy on them. That will be a readout. The ultimate goal is to keep whole human eyes alive for experimentation.
