Introduction
Jacob rese mogg has taken a real aim at the civil servants in whitehall. He is suggesting that quite a few of them won't have a desk any more. The state has expanded a lot in recent years, and we need to discuss whether that expansion is healthy. And then i think the other question is, do we want the state to be doing all the things that it is doing? An i think that is the bigger question that the government needs to be prepared to tackle.
