This is a parable of responsiveness from the parallel in Luke 14 to the one we're looking at today in Matthew 22 That the Lord is trying to evoke a response of repentance among specifically the religious leaders. And they're not responding, and so then he's saying, hey, look, there are people that are responding And there arepeople that aren't responding. It really is so customary to take these things so out of context With the agenda to make them more universal, and ultimately about ourselves. When they're universal, then they become about me.
