The European Central Bank's Decision to Not Agree to Anything in September
Lagarde sneaked out during the press conference that the cutoff date was the 23rd of May for the inflation growth forecasts. She said she couldn't say anything about September because they discussed it and they couldn't agree. The market is like, oh my god, the ECB forecasts higher inflation. I got to sell my bonds. But apart from jokes, the inflation that Powell is focusing on has been analyzing at 3% for now three months or six months. So is 3% the Fed target? No, not yet but it makes much better than 6.5%, 7%. It's just still areas.
