I think it's really important to figure out what actually directly affects you and what doesn't in your life. The things that are directly affecting you start to develop ethical outward facing responses to them. And I think that having ethical action and moral response and creating a moral atmosphere are two things that we need to do at the same time. Read the news with a sense of total equanimity, try to only see what you know could be true.
