Is Napoleon Assassinated by Poison?
A recent study suggests Napoleon may have been exposed to a staggering amount of arsenic in the days and months before his death. It's also worth noting that the whole European balance of power was totally out of whack during this time period. Stomach cancer seems like a plausible theory, but poison certainly doesn't seem far-fetched either. Did Napoleon want to conquer the world? I doubt it. He definitely wanted to make France the dominant hegemonic power of continental Europe; there's no evidence he literally wanted a French tri-color flying over every inch of land on the planet.
