The Shogoth meme is about an AI that behaves like a real person. We can't imagine what's actually going on inside it because we can't. It sounds like, you know, these things that have officially passed the Turing test when it comes to dialogue. You wouldn't know that you're not speaking to a person if you took someone from 2000 and they chatted with this thing. They had no clue as an AI.
