Don't turn your nose up at talking to non-native speakers. There's a lot to be gained from that interaction. Other learners of English are likely to be more sympathetic because you're sharing the same experience. Having peers, like a peer group with whom you can share your language learning experience is a really important thing. It's like a little support group around you.
