Clegg says the decision to ban Trump sounds simple and definitive, but it was actually a series of escalating decisions. Facebook removed the video during the insurrection in which he told rioters to go home; also said we had an election that was stolen from us. Less than an hour after that, Facebook took down another post where Trump wrote, Remember This Day Forever. Then, based on those two violations, Facebook went a step further by putting a 24-hour block on Trump's ability to post. On January 7th, Zuckerberg announced that the company was banning Trump indefinitely.
