The Importance of Adapting to Climate Change

Researchers from the University of Alberta in Canada found that different populations of similar marine species often had way different thermal limits. The researchers think a more effective approach would be to widen a marine species range so they could more easily find bigger portions of undamaged habitat. And on land, we need to maintain large patches of cool ecosystems, like forests, so terrestrial species can use them as refuges. It's not a complete end to climate change, but it's a glimmer of hope for sure.
