Prisons and the Food System

i've been to jail a number of times, and the food is always terrible. i think people who have an experience that don't really think about just how much systematic starvation is going on in these places. There's like a lot of parallels between ndof the structure of prisons and the structure f our of our food system. I guess i can draw anything deeper out of those similarities than the fact that there's jus, like, overriding logic of capitalism that is just, like, has no respect for these beings,. whether it is a person or a banana tree.
