The Problem With Deferrals and Transfers
Ironman has changed and liberalized its policies a lot over the years. What we don't want to happen is for somebody to sign up for four races knowing they're only going to do one. Our professional athletes in general sign up for about three times as many races as they actually go to. If we had policies that let anybody get their money back seven days before a race, our fear is that people would sign up forFour or five races, knowing they were only going to doing one.
