The Creation and Flood Narrative
I believe that everything in the Bible is literally true to start with. But I think we're talking about literal, we also have to be mindful of what kind of text it is and what the author intended to convey. So once you get to the flood narrative, there's no scientific evidence of having the whole earth being underwater within the past 50,000 years. There were certainly some floods that were probably that was incorporated into their understanding of the word. We see it also in the Babylonian myths.
