Introduction

Bead the Venerable is a monk and scholar from North Ambria, England. He got his name because someone referred to him in a collection of homilies that then got spread around. Bead lives in the generation after Cuthbert; he's the one who wrote the life of Cuthbert which we talked about last episode.
