Exo Mars is in two parts. There's a traysgas orbiter, which launches... Oh gosh, I can't remember, 2016, I think. And then there's the exo Mars lander, which is going to have quite a big rover on board. The best chance for finding life on Mars would be under the polar ice caps. Where they've been protected from UV radiation and high vapour pressure. But if you're only looking at microbial life, you know, the stuff like the cryptoendoliths in Antarctica.
