Medicare Has a Negative Impact on Quality of Care

Medicare pays doctors and hospitals more when they provide dangerously low quality care then when they provide high quality care. Fee for service externalizes the costs of those errors and forces them on the taxpayer. Medicare just like the exclusion for 40 years or now for a hundred years has been discouraging health insurance that cut lifetime health insurance it covers you between jobs and into retirement.
