While the Army, Navy, and Air Force all fell short, two branches actually exceeded their recruiting goals. A big reason the Space Force hit their recruiting goal this year is just simply because they don't need as many recruits. And it's worth noting while other branches have lowered some of their standards for enlistment or offered those large bonuses for new recruits, the Marine Corps has not.
