How to Approach Interviews With Trans Youth
As an editorial consultant for stories about trans people, I get a lot of questions about how to approach interviews with specifically trans youth. My process is almost always the same because most of the time, those athletes aren't going to be media trained and their families may not be media trained. They're really humanizing questions about who they are as people. And in my case, why they love sports, how they get involved in sports, those sorts of things.
