The Psychological Approach to God in the West
Foyerbach was a German philosopher who wrote his atheistic works in the 1840s, very influential with Karl Marx. Foyerbach argued that God didn't exist and that God was a projection of human psychological concerns of various types. He then went on to say that our psychological approach to God in the West is often through, first, our own psychological relationship to our father.
