Since the card of the devil, the book has gone down hill. The politics of the shire doesn't come through as placards or meetings and things like that. But there is clearly an agreement in relation to liberty and the way to live. There's a brilliant sight on line where you can read finnigan's wake commentary. I ou could do a reading group, but i think that would be, we'd all go mad.
