Data is the first big hurdle. A one percent increase in modeling accuracy for a recommender system at petabyte scale is gonna produce a billion dollar, you know, down the line. So there's a lot of trade off that makes sense only after a certain level of scale. At some point, even nice tool like Snowflake and so on become just pretty bit expensive if you really need to run all the computation where there's no flag on that.
