The Importance of Being a Positive Parent
"I remember when my son was really little, probably age seven or so, knew her diagnosis for us. It was ADHD only at the time and his therapist one day put out a big piece of paper on the floor," she says. "It was so wonderful for him to get a chance to think about something other than what he was struggling with." She adds: "Most parents do skew to the negative but just the awareness of it helps me remember to say like something positive"
