The first time I ever read a poem out was at a Nissim as a kill workshop in college and I felt naked the only way I could get through it was to actually pretend that I was somebody else. The process of rewriting is literally the magic that was going to change my poems, he says. "I'm arguing myself into a corner realizing that if you've changed a few words it's not the same poem"
