Peer Censorship and the Battle Over Liberty
20 plus years of litigation means that the formal structures that universitys use, universities used for a long time to censor speech on campus are either largely gone or not enforced. The bad news is we swept them away right as peer chilling and peer sort of censorship rose. But i think if we can get through this wave of the peer censorship then we can perhaps move into an era where there is both a relaxation of per peer sort of chilling and the absence of formal university policies that chill speech. It's where i think we are.
