Belabs, You Know
Bellabs had a lot of kind of very bureoucratic practices. They would take people who had done being successful as researchers, and they say, ok, now you're oing a manager. The people would come in overnight, and they'd lay down carpet. If that office got used by somebody who wasn't a manager any more, the carpet would just disappear overnight. There was a group a belabs that was sort of, i think, in some ways, a spin out of the electronic switching system effort.
