What's the Precipitating Event?

The precipitating event here was the withdrawal, the way that we did it. This hadn't happened until we withdrew. So I'm kind of agreeing that like, yeah, it does show kind of how hollow the military was. But they were holding on when the maintenance teams and contractors were still giving the close air support in the US. And there was a perception that the United States was not abandoning the government in Kabul.
